For Botox fans, here”””s exciting news: a new kind of injectable neurotoxin has debuted to make all those lines on your face go away. Say hello to Jeuveau, a new, FDA-approved Botox-alternative, that is joining the line-up of injectable neurotoxins including Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin.
How is Jeuveau different? “The botulinum in Jeuveau is prepared using a unique purification process, which makes for a unique formula,” says Dr Majd Al Zoughbi, Specialist Dermatologist, Aesthetica Clinic Jumeirah, Dubai. “While Botox is FDA approved for a variety of aesthetic and medical issues, including excessive sweat reduction, Jeuveau is only FDA approved for treating glabellar lines (frown lines) and it may last longer than Botox in this area.”

Each area has its own specific Botox injection patterns. “The Glabella (more commonly known as the frown line or the lines that look like the number 11 on your forehead) is given Botox that lift the eyebrows and eyelids and open the eyes, giving the face a more attractive look.”
